❌ 7 Critical Mistakes to Avoid on your SAMS PG 2026 Form

1

Wrong Category Selection

Do NOT select SC/ST/SEBC if you do not have a valid, updated certificate. This leads to **automatic rejection** during physical validation.

2

Wrong Entrance Subject

Ensure your chosen entrance subject matches the eligibility requirements for your desired PG course. For example, some M.Sc. courses require Physics as a Core subject.

3

Incorrect Career Marks

Wait for your final 6th-semester results if possible, or mark as "Appearing." Entering a fake percentage to boost your initial rank is **academic fraud**.

4

Ignoring Weightage

Forget to claim **NCC-B**, **NSS**, or **Sports** weightage? That could cost you 2–4 critical merit marks. Upload certificates carefully!

5

Bad Choice Locking

Putting Utkal (highest cutoff) as preference #10 is useless. Your **first choice** must be the university you want the most, even if your probability is "Medium."

6

Incomplete Fee Payment

Your form is only considered submitted after you receive the **"Payment Successful"** message and can download the Print CAF.

7

Last-Minute Submission

The **March 15th** deadline is strict. Servers can crash on the last day. Submit at least 48 hours early.
